Schools ask us this before anything else, so here is the straight answer, including our own prices and the options that cost nothing.
The market, roughly
External speaker sessions for secondary schools in the South East typically run anywhere from free to around £500 for a single assembly, and £600 to £1,500 for a full day of workshops. The spread comes down to who is delivering, how far they travel and whether the session comes with anything beyond the hour itself: follow-up materials, staff briefings, evidence of impact.
Our prices
We publish ours because we would rather you knew before you enquired. A single 40 to 50 minute assembly for one year group is £175 +VAT. Both assemblies delivered in one visit, the format most schools book, is £300 +VAT. A whole-cohort Safe Nights Day with assemblies, workshops and a staff twilight runs £750 to £1,000 +VAT. Kent is our base rate; London, Essex, Hertfordshire, East Sussex and Surrey add £50 to £100 of real travel cost per visit. Schools that book the same day or week as a neighbour share the travel and get the cluster rate. Every booking includes the tutor follow-up pack, a staff briefing note and pre and post polling of students, with your cohort's results reported back.
When free is the right answer
Take the free options where they are good. Police liaison officers deliver valuable sessions and we actively encourage schools to keep them; in our Kent pilot, police supported our assemblies rather than being replaced by them. Some funded programmes cover specific topics well. The honest distinction is coverage: statutory RSHE now requires content on the night-time economy, spiking and violence against women and girls that most free provision does not reach, delivered credibly. That is the gap paid industry-led sessions exist to fill.
Questions worth asking any provider
Whatever you spend, ask the same four things. Can we see the full content in advance? How does it map to the RSHE statutory guidance? What happens after the hour, and what evidence do we get? And who exactly is standing in front of our students, with what safeguarding checks? A provider who answers all four quickly is usually a safe pair of hands.
